Matthew is 27 and works at Clearbranch United Methodist Church. He is an assistant to the Facilities Manager. Matthew has enjoyed working at Clearbranch for the past two years after being employed with Benegan’s Restaurant for six years following graduating from Hewitt Trussville High School in 2000.
Matthew loves listening to music and singing. Probably his favorite hobby is movies. He enjoys collecting movies and then of course watching them. He does exercise on an elliptical about 3 times a week. He helps keep the house clean and enjoys watering plants around the house. Matthew is now washing and drying his clothes most of the time which gives him a sense of independence along with preparing (simple) meals.
Matthew has three nieces and a a nephew and he loves them and calls them “his 4 miracles”. But Matthew does like his privacy and everyone tries to respect that.
Matthew began sharing his testimony probably about 8 years ago after his Dad passed away from Melanoma. God has put people in Matthew’s life that have lead him to the point where he is today. He has always been one to give speeches at his birthday parties and talk about how thankful he is, etc which now has evolved into sharing his testimony with others. This has given Matthew such joy to be able to share his faith and how God has seen him through circumstances in his life.
